Flagler Schools issued the following statement on the change:
It is with great excitement that Flagler Schools announces Dustin Sims as the Principal of Flagler Palm Coast High School. Mr. Sims is no stranger to Flagler County and the state of Florida, he was recently selected and named Florida’Outstanding Assistant Principal of the Year.
Mr. Sims began his teaching career as a high school English teacher in 2000, he spent 10 years in this position at Flagler Palm Coast High School (FPC) and also served as the head baseball coach.
From there, he served as Assistant Principal at Old Kings Elementary and in 2011 returned to FPC as part of the leadership team.
Mr. Sims is a transformational leader who utilizes teamwork and his expertise in curriculum and instruction to increase student performance, promote safe learning environments, provide professional development and establish partnerships with parents and community members.
