Ormond Beach hosts free kids' fishing tournament

Kai Kirshbau loves being outside, fishing on the beach.

“He really wants to catch swordfish,” his mother said with a smile.

Kirshbau was just one of the many kids who signed up for the city’s annual free fishing tournament Reel in the Fun. Held on the beach at the Neptune Avenue approach, the competition was a catch a release, and consisted of three winners from each age division.
