The following is an adapted press release from the Flagler County Sheriff’s Office:
Sheriff James L. Manfre presented James Bradley and Beverly McGowan with a Citizens Award Thursday, March 12, at the Sheriff’s Operations Center in Bunnell.
Bradley, a local business owner and entrepreneur, has donated $9,700 over the years to the Sheriff’s Police Athletic League. Bradley, who is also known as “The Hot Dog Man,” donates tips he’s received from his hot dog cart to a number of charities and organizations throughout the county.
“For the past 16 years, Mr. Bradley has generously made monetary donations to our P.A.L. organization and we will forever be grateful for his contributions,” Manfre said.
PAL is a youth sports program designed to instill positive values and reduce juvenile crime.
“I feel privileged to have helped the Police Athletic League since we started in October 1998,” Bradley said. “We are planning to focus on assisting the American Legion Vets from Post 115 in Palm Coast.”
