A neighbor said they saw male enter a house which is abandoned due to a fire by breaking into a back door. He said he has seen him in other vacant homes in the area.
Officers set up a perimeter around the house. A black bicycle was observed in the house and the suspect appeared to be avoiding being seen in the back Florida room.
After being given verbal commands to leave the home, it took the suspect five minutes to gather his belongings and make his way out the back door. During that time, he was given repeated instructions to show his hands and leave the house.
He told the officers the owner gave him $20 to watch the house. He said he was not given permission to enter the home but figured he could do a better job of watching it from the inside.

Any tag will not do
11:21 p.m. — South Yonge Street and Palm Place.
Traffic Stop.
The officer checked the tag on a Honda at a traffic light and found that it was registered to a Suburu. After making a traffic stop, the driver said she knew she was “riding on a bad tag.”
She said she just purchased the vehicle from a male in Palm Coast, and he told her he could put the tag on the vehicle.
Due to the vehicle not being registered, the officer advised the driver that she would have to have it towed. She could not agree on a price with the tow truck driver that arrived, and a neighbor offered to let the suspect leave the vehicle at their residence until she can have it towed.
The suspect received a citation for attaching a tag not assigned.
