Palm Coast has been identified as the best place to vacation in Florida. It has been named one of the nation's best places to retire. Now, it has been named as one of the worst places in Florida to live.
But this lastest list might be more of an indication that these lists aren't all that interesting. An article on HomeSnacks.net with the headline, "These Are The 10 Worst Places To Live In Florida," makes this claim: "We used science to help determine which cities in Florida are the real pits."
However, once you scroll down to Palm Coast, which is identified as the 10th-worst place to live in the state, the author of the article includes a sort of "excuse me" qualifier:
"Besides the very high unemployment numbers, across the board, Palm Coast isn’t really all that bad. It does boast some of the highest education spending in the Sunshine State, too."
Incidentally, Daytona Beach is listed as the fifth-worst place to live in Florida. New Smyrna Beach is No. 8. And, in the comprehensive list at the bottom of the article, Palm Coast is listed as No. 12, instead of No. 10, for some reason.
