Danielle Pierro, Business Woman of the Year
Danielle Pierro, co-manager with Weichert, Realtors- Hallmark Properties in Palm Coast, was voted 2015 Business Woman of the Year by Flagler Business Woman, Inc., on Monday, Sept. 21. Pierro’s official proclamation took place at on Oct. 19, at the Palm Coast City Hall followed by a celebratory dinner at the Hilton Inn.
“I’m sure I speak for everyone in the Palm Coast office, and all of Weichert Realtors - Hallmark Properties offices as well, in congratulating Danielle on this tremendous honor,” said MaryLou Vanslette, regional manager with Weichert Hallmark. “We’ve always known her to be a dedicated, knowledgeable and hardworking agent, but this accolade just proves that her skills as a business leader are known and respected by a wider audience.”

Florida Hospital Flagler receives nearly $11,000 to fight cancer
Nancy Gibbs and the Tom Gibbs Chevrolet team donated $10,848 to Florida Hospital Flagler’s Pink Army campaign, which provides screening mammograms, diagnostic studies and education to local women in need.
These funds were raised during the second-annual Florida Hospital Flagler Pink Gala at the Hilton Garden Inn and efforts from the Flagler Beach Corvette Club.
In its first year alone, the Pink Army enlisted more than 6,000 “soldiers” to battle breast cancer. Now, armed with more than 53,000 soldiers, the Pink Army movement has swept across the state, encouraging Central Floridians to join this important cause. Florida Hospital Flagler gets new medical director
Florida Hospital Flagler has selected hospitalist Dr. Mary Kathryn Anania to serve as the medical director of the hospital’s 11 hospitalists.
Hospitalists are physicians whose primary professional focus is the general medical care of hospitalized patients. These physicians work in the hospital, caring for inpatients, and can be more readily available to patients than a doctor who has his own office. By focusing on the care of hospitalized patients, a hospitalist has experience and expertise on the unique aspects of a patient's needs during a hospital stay.
Anania has worked with Adventist Health System for seven years and most recently served as a hospitalist at Florida Hospital Memorial Medical Center in Daytona Beach. Call 586-2000.
Intracoastal Bank leadership changes
Bruce Page, President and Chief Executive Officer, announced changes in roles regarding the bank’s retail management team. Barbara Griffis was promoted from assistant manager to manager of the bank’s Volusia Banking Center, and Laurinda Alves will continue to have responsibility for all aspects of the Bank’s retail and consumer operations and treasury management services. This includes overall responsibility for Intracoastal’s Volusia and Flagler Banking Centers and she will continue to directly manage the Flagler Banking Center.
