Joe Licata from Flagler American Legion Post 115, presented packages of toiletries donated by local hotels to Debbie Forrester, Commander of the Ormond/Flagler Strong support group at a recent meeting of the American Legion. Forrester’s group will include the items in the holiday care packages that are being sent to the troops.
Bunnell Elementary and the Positive Behavioral Interventions and Support team (PBIS), coordinated a No-Referral Fall Bash on Thursday, Oct. 29 for K-2; on Friday, Oct. 30 for third- to fifth-grade students; and on Friday, Nov. 6 for the sixth grade students. The Fall Bash was an opportunity for teachers to play outside and reward the 1,200 children who didn’t receive referrals during the first quarter.
Principal Richard Dupont supports the PBIS team and the effort to find incentives to encourage the students to exemplify the Bunnell Elementary Expectations: Be respectful and responsible, eager to learn and well prepared, stay safe and cooperate.
