On Thursday, Nov. 19, the K-Kids and Builder’s Club at Imagine School at Town Centers collected food and money at the new Island Walk Publix to provide Thanksgiving meals for the struggling families. They surpassed their goal of $100 and a cart of groceries, and collected $400 in cash and gift cards, three grocery carts of food, and nine turkeys. The K-Kids donated $200 to the ISTC Bountiful Backpacks, an ongoing weekly program designed to enhance a child’s well being at home.
The Belle Terre Swim & Racquet Health Club Advisory Committee will have a Holiday Open House and Membership Drive from 1 to 4 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 5 at the club, 73 Patricia Dr.
The free event is a perfect time to visit with Santa, enjoy live music, and refreshments (including bake sale). Lucky raffle winners will win a 32-inch flat screen TV, a wine basket, and lottery ticket basket. The event includes tours of the facility.

Flagler Humane Society is joining the national animal welfare organization, Best Friends Animal Society, and other shelters nationwide and offering free adoptions through Monday, Nov. 30. All pets will be spayed or neutered, up to date on vaccines and microchipped.
They also come with a free vet checkup and 30 days of free pet insurance. The event is being sponsored by Zappos.com. One free adoption per customer.
