Matt Beyrer specializes in painting a wide variety of fantasy scenes depicted in dramatic outdoor environments. His inspiration comes from the sensual beauty of nature. All of his paintings portray incredible detail with the use of graphic colors. Beyrer realized his interest in painting at the early age of 4. In pursuit of his passion, Beyrer obtained a Bachelor in Fine Arts in Illustration from Ringling School of Art and Design. Recently he has had his work shown in four separate galleries including Ocean Art Gallery in Flagler Beach. His exhibition, “Where Abstract Becomes Reality,” is open to the public now through the end of October.
His work takes much persistence and incredible effort. “Some pieces are easy while others are a massive struggle,” Beyrer said. “Different circumstances can cause setbacks such as the paint dries too quickly, or a concept in the mind’s eye is difficult to convey on the canvas.”
Beyrer strives to paint beyond the average still life scene and focuses on captivating a viewer’s imagination by telling a story through his artwork.
