An anonymous phone call into Flagler County Sheriff’s Office dispatch prompted school administrators at Flagler Palm Coast High School and Flagler Technical Institute to increase the campus threat level to “orange.”
The call came in just after 11 a.m. stating that there was a weapon in a campus bathroom. The sheriff’s office then notified school administrators who raised the threat level to “orange.” That means all outdoor activities are cancelled, no classes change and students and staff remain in place. FCSO deputies responded and secured the perimeter of the campuses
A thorough search around Flagler Technical Institute was conducted by a number of deputies. No weapon was found.
About an hour after that threat level was increased, it was dropped down to “yellow,” which means increased law enforcement on campus.
"It is back to "green" everything is back to normal," Jason Wheeler, information specialist for Flagler Schools said at 12:40 p.m. "Nothing, no weapons were found."
