Many unhappy returns

1:33 p.m. — 1500 Block of West Granada Boulevard

Petit Theft. Suspect No. 1 arrived at the store with no merchandise in her possession. She took a Kurig coffee maker from the shelf and walked to the exit doors where she contacted suspect No. 2 who handed her a shopping cart with a boxed microwave oven.

Suspect No. 2 went to Customer Service and requested a refund for both items. She was given a gift card for the refund and left the store.

After being stopped outside and brought to the security office, she said Suspect No. 2 wanted to return the microwave because it was damaged. A search showed that she possessed credit cards reported stolen in a car burglary in Holly Hill.

At that time, Suspect No. 2 entered the store. He was taken to the security office where it was discovered he also possessed stolen credit cards. The couple admitted that the microwave was purchased using a stolen credit card.
