The staff at the Ormond Memorial Art Museum wants you to stay a little longer.

The Coffee Garden, brain child of Curator of Education and Outreach Kristin Heron and Director of Membership and Marketing Melissa Frankel, opened for the first time in the museum's lobby April 11 — and sold out of its first brew in just 25 minutes.

"We realized there was no place within walking distance to get coffee," Frankel said. "So we wanted to create something special for everyone in this area."

Ormond Beach-brewed roaster Steel Oak Coffee provides the beans, and from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. every Monday, the museum will brew coffee for all to enjoy. Each week, the blend will be different. The first week's choice was from Costa Rica.

The museum is asking coffee drinkers for a $2 donation, and all coffee grounds will be used as compost in the garden.
