Smiles, laughs and shrieks of happiness filled Town Center on April 23 as the Insane Inflatable 5K blew into town. Participants ran through 11 inflatable challenges over 3.1 miles. The run drew in people of all ages thanks to the design for a fun run and an untimed event.
The founders of Insane Inflatables started with an idea in a hotel lobby bar four years ago in Orlando. They wanted to come up with a new 5K idea unlike any other. As the night went on, they started to draw inflatable ideas on bar napkins. The next morning, they sent their ideas to an inflatable manufacturer, who agreed they could make the designs. They wanted to create the race for anyone and everyone. Three years later, they travel the country bringing what may be the most fun 5K to towns like ours.
