Phase One of the Palm Coast Arts Foundation is complete. The landscaping and planting is done and the office space has been moved to the new Arts Foundation site in Town Center. This weekend over 1,000 people are expected to attend the Inaugural Activity for Picnic and Pops. The foundation had hopes to have the stage complete for this event, but due to permanent bathrooms being required, a stage will be brought in with a tent. The stage should be completed by July. At this time no events are set until the foundation is complete and work has continued as scheduled. Executive Director Nancy Crouch found it rewarding for the foundation to finally see something happening with the site. Membership is growing, due to the start of the constructions activity. The members are very supportive, by paying annual dues and help with operations.
Within four to five years of the completion of the stage and its roof, the Event Center construction will begin. The reason for such a span of time is due to the foundation being non-profit, the projects are pay as you go. The foundation hopes to generate revenue from the stage to help pay for the $7 million dollar Event Center. The vision for the future is a 10-year plan.
If you are interested in donating to our Palm Coast Arts Foundation there is currently a paver campaign where you can donate to have a paver brick laid in Town Center. So far, 50 pavers have been donated and are being placed within existing pavers at the Arts Foundation site in Town Center.
