The Summer String Camp was held in conjunction with Children's Musical Theater at the Ormond Beach Performing Arts Center.
Rather then veg out on the couch or stay in bed all day, a few local kids spent their summer refreshing their musical skills at Summer String Camp.
Held in conjunction with Children's Musical Theater at the Ormond Beach Performing Arts Center for three weeks in July, the camp gave the musically talented kids a chance to continue practicing while school was out.
The director and teachers were Kathleen Finn, the current orchestra director at both Ormond Beach and David C Hinson Middle Schools, and Marsha Shapiro, a music educator and composer.
