Lunch & Learn with Paul Rebmann: “Only in Florida”

Harley Davidson Dog Days of Summer

5 p.m. at Bruce Rossmeyer’s Daytona Harley-Davidson, 1637 N. U.S. 1. Free hot dogs and dog treats. Pet parade at 7 p.m. Dog and owner lookalike contest. Best dog biker costume contest. Ugliest dog contest. Adoptable dogs available.

Big Brother/Big Sister Class

6 p.m. at Florida Hospital Memorial Medical Center’s BirthCare Center, 301 Memorial Medical Parkway, Daytona Beach. This free class provides soon-to-be big brothers and sisters with a simple introduction to the hospital’s BirthCare Center and answers questions with the help of the Bernstein Bears and New Baby Sister books. Sidney Friedman: Mentalist Extraordinaire

7 to 9 p.m. at at Temple Beth-el, 579 N. Nova Road. The only show combining mind reading, ESP, music ability, fun interaction and valuable mind power. He will pick people from the audience and will amaze them. Free and open to the public. Refreshments will be served.

Summer Sizzler    

5:30 to 7 p.m. at the Historic Anderson-Price Building.,42 N. Beach St. Enjoy a drink and light refreshments and find out what's happening at the society. Free. Open Gym

6 to 8 p.m. at the Ormond Beach Gymnastics Center, 432 N. Nova Road. Anyone between the ages of 8-21. An open gym format and there will only be light spotting. Coaches will be on the floor at all times. A waiver to participate must be signed by each person and anyone under 18 years of age must have the waiver signed by a parent. Live Auction Luau to Benefit Food Brings Hope

6 to 8 p.m. at The Spanish House. Hosted by the Young Professionals Group Ormond and all proceeds will go to Food Brings Hope. Come dressed for a retro luau as we will be in the perfect beachfront setting for a tropical party. Complimentary appetizers and drinks.
