Summer is officially over, and while we half-expected to see some solumn young faces Aug. 15 as students walked back onto campus, we're happy to report that there were more smiles than frowns at Pathways Elementary.
"Everything," 10-year-old Summer Moore answered after being asked what she was most excited about for fifth-grade. "I want to learn math and meet new friends."
And Moore wasn't alone in her excitement. While some students were more nervous than others to start back, many ran to the classroom eager to get started.
"Everyone is excited about a new school year," said Pathways Elementary Principal Jason Watson. "It's gonna be a great year."
