The Mainland Buccaneers kicked off their golf seasons with wins in the boys and girls competition. The scores were as follows:
Boys team scores: Mainland 160 to Seabreeze 189 and Deltona's 205. Mainland’s top scorers were Scotty Green, 38; Logan Reese, 39; Keith Froling, 41; Seabreeze top golfers were Ben Donlick, 45; Harley Rossi, 46; Tyler Lammrish.
Girls team score: Mainland 187-261. Claire Albrecht,39; Caitlynn Reuter, 40; Samantha Whiting, 50; Kerrington Heller, 56; Avery Kulzer, 75; Anjelica Disalvo, 67.
In case you missed it: Mainland top two golfers Scotty Greene and Logan Reese tied for first place in the summer-ending Jr. Tournament of Champions in the Volusia/Flagler League. Reese defeated Greene in a five-hole playoff.
