Dr. Thomas Saurwein first spotted Linda Marlow out on the dance floor, where she was moving and gliding all on her own. He quietly approached her, asked her to dance, and as they say, the rest was history.
Two years later, the couple shared another dance at the Ormond Beach Senior Center on Aug. 24. This time, in celebration of their wedding.
"Our romance developed on the dance floor," Marlow said.
Surrounded by their friends at the Council on Aging center, the couple waltzed to “Can I Have This Dance for the Rest of My Life” by Ann Murray and renewed their vows that they officially took during a small ceremony Aug. 20.
"We wanted to do something simple Saturday," Marlow said, "but then people found out we were getting married. They've watched us meet and dance for awhile, and we're just so blessed to have them."
The couple still loves to dance. They come to the senior center at least four times a week to practice.
"I'm a professional dancer," Marlow said.
"Yeah, she just holds me up," Dr. Saurwein teased. "Steers me, and tries to move me in the right direction."
