Free Paternity Workshop
3:30 to 5 p.m. in Conference Room 103 in City Hall, 22 S. Beach St. Held by Community Legal Services of Mid-Florida, the workshop topic is paternity rights of unmarried parents. If attendees wish to meet one-on-one with a pro bono attorney regarding their specific situation, they will need to indicate so on the sign-in sheet upon their arrival, and they will be contacted at a later date, by phone, to have an intake completed to establish eligibility for services.
Active Shooter Seminar
6 to 8 p.m. at Triple Arc Training Group, 226 N. Nova Road, No. 102. This classroom style seminar will provide valuable and critical information to attendees regarding the necessary precautions and response options for both armed and unarmed citizens in multiple scenario settings. Hear the facts from an actual law enforcement active shooter response instructor. Classroom materials and light refreshments provided. September Young Professionals Group of Ormond Networking Social

10 to 11:30 a.m. at the Ormond Beach Regional Library, 30 S. Beach St. Speakers will include Scott Weidman, owner of Savannah Court Financial Advisors; Michael Pyle, an attorney with the Pyle & Dellinger law firm; Rich Cooper, president of Mitchell Noel Insurance Agency; Shawn Brown, owner of Shawn Brown Insurance; and Don Young of the Raposa Perry Young accounting firm.
