For the friends of Robert Harris, the start of the school year didn't quite feel right without their good friend by their side.

The 18-year-old Seabreeze High School student, who was killed by a train over three months ago, would have been a senior this year. In order to carry his memory with them, his friends and family planted a golden raintree and installed a plaque on campus Aug. 19.

The plaque is engraved with a quote from Harris that reads: "Life isn't a flowing stream, it's an oncoming wave."
