The U.S. Marshals Service Fugitive Task Force located Jarvis Madison and took him custody Friday morning in Louisville, Kentucky. His car, the silver 2011 Honda Pilot, was also found. Rachel Madison is still missing. She was last seen Nov. 27 leaving her aunt's house in Ormond-By-The-Sea to go for a run on the beach.
Rachel Madison had been living with her aunt since she fled from her abusive husband in Indiana Nov. 16. During the time she was in Ormond-By-The-Sea, Jarvis Madison made several calls to her aunt's house threatening Rachel Madison's life if she did not return to him. The last call was made Nov. 27 about 30 minutes before the 44-year-old mom disappeared.
The Sheriff’s Office is continuing to investigate her disappearance along with assistance from the FBI. Anyone with information on her whereabouts is asked to call 323-0151 or Crime Stoppers of Northeast Florida toll-free at (888) 277-TIPS. Callers to Crime Stoppers can qualify for a reward of up to $5,000. Tips also can be submitted anonymously by downloading the smartphone app from the Crime Stoppers website: westopcrime.com.
