Flagler Palm Coast high School graduate Sergey Glagolev has opened a used car dealership named Sovauto Sales in Bunnell on Steel Rail Drive.
“My father is originally from Russia and started in the car business in 1991 shipping cars from Germany to Russia after the dissolution of the Soviet Union,” Glagolev said in a press release. “I’ve owned my own business for the past eight years in Flagler County and I’m excited to have the opportunity to grow Sovauto.”
Sovauto has approximately 30 cars and trucks on their lot, with a goal of 50 in the near future. They also search for specific requests from customers.
Glagolev is a 2008 graduate of Flagler Palm Coast High School and has lived in Flagler County since he was 15. He launched his first business, Serge’s Landscaping, as a senior at FPC. His final project in economics class was to build a business model and he used his real business to do so. He credits FPC’s administration and the school’s on-the-job training program for allowing him to balance work and school. Serge launched Empire Outdoors in 2008 and owned the company for eight years, building it to a staff of 12 before retiring from the landscaping industry.
The dealership is located at 3365 Steel Rail Drive in Bunnell, behind the VerdeGo nursery. Call 276-0005 or visit sovautosales.com.
