A third report of a robbery by a suspect wearing a Batman mask and wielding a knife has been issued by Ormond Beach police. The most recent incident was at 1:55 a.m. on Dec. 22 at the Steak ‘n Shake, 120 Williamson Blvd.
On Dec. 13, a suspect with a similar description robbed the 7-Eleven, 690 S. Nova Road, and on Dec. 14, robbed the Kangaroo Express at 1520 W. Granada Blvd. He is now described as a white male, five-feet, five-inches to five-feet, eight-inches tall, and weighing 200 to 230 pounds.
The victim in the recent crime, who is employed by Steak N Shake, took a rest break about 1.55 a.m. and went out to his vehicle in the rear parking lot, according to a statement from police. The victim then noticed that a subject was looking through the windows of other vehicles.
The subject, wearing a Batman mask and holding a small pocket knife, then approached the victim and demanded money.
Police said the victim gave the subject his money, and the subject then demanded more money. The victim said he did not have any. The subject reached into the victim’s apron pockets, and when he did not find any more money, said, “This (expletive) sucks.” He then ran south through the parking lot.
