“If a free hair cut makes a teachers day, I am happy to be the one to provide them with one. Every teacher deserves so much appreciation for the time they put in to educate our children.”
SUMMER O’NEAL, Paul Mitchell hair stylist at Opulence by Spa Floridian
Shrill ringing sounded throughout the Opulence by Spa Floridian for the majority of the day on Tuesday, Feb. 23, as a steady flow of teachers continued to call and make appointments for a courtesy haircut. Adiel Hemingway, co-owner of Opulence by Spa Floridian, is pleased to be in a position to give back to the community.
“I feel that those who teach our children are often times overlooked, and that they deserve recognition,” Hemingway said. “It is our duty to give back and say thank you to those who make a positive impact on our community.”
Opulence by Spa Floridian, located at 160 Cypress Point Parkway, Suite A109, will be offering special free haircuts to select community members throughout the year. On March 29 and 31, the salon has chosen to recognize members of every branch of the United States Armed Forces. On April 26 and 28, Flagler County’s EMS and firefighters will receive recognition with fresh
haircuts. May 8 will be set aside to celebrate Mother’s day, and children are asked to write a short essay on “Why my mommy deserves a spa day,” to make their mom eligible for a free spa treatment and haircut. June 28 and 30 will be dedicated to the city and county employees. July 26 and 28 will honor all veterans of the United States Armed Forces. August 23 and 25 will celebrate all kids going back to school with a fresh new look.
“As a hair stylist, any opportunity we have to give back and share our resources is one of our favorite parts of the job,” said Summer O’Neal, a Paul Mitchell hair stylist. “It is part of our businesses foundation to take on the responsibility of helping others within our community.”
