Try it but don’t buy it

7:51 p.m. — 1500 Block of West Granada Boulevard

Petit Theft and Resisting Arrest. The suspect selected several packages of T-shirts in the store, opened one, and put on a T-shirt. He then selected a 12-pack of Limerita, opened a can, and started drinking it.

He later put the can down and went with the other suspect to the self-checkout. The first suspect stood beside the cart as the second suspect put bottles of water over some items they did not scan.

The suspects were charged with resisting arrest in addition to theft because they refused to follow officer commands, pulled away and clinched their fists.

Not getting mail?

10:11 a.m. — First Block of Oakmont Circle

Fraud. The suspect received a letter from the U.S. Postal Service confirming a change of address. He was advised that all of his mail would be going to an address in Miami Gardens.

He went to the Post Office, and they advised him to contact police.

The victim also stated that he was notified by his identity theft protection company that someone was trying to apply for four credit cards in his name. He also received a debit card in the mail that he did not request.

The identity theft company put a fraud alert on his account so that nobody can apply for a card in his name.
