"We are improving the facilities to enhance the outdoor dining experience, and while maintaining the historical sentiment of Hot Diggity Dogs." Pedro Vicens, owner Hot Diggity Dogs
Hot Diggity Dogs, in Bunnell, is undergoing renovations to provide a sheltered area for customers to enjoy their meals. By early February, a brand new pavilion will stretch across the entire outdoor seating area to shelter customers from rain, wind and the harsh Florida sun. The covering will also make room for additional seating and standing room.
Ever since the restaurant underwent a change in ownership, as of July, 2015, new owner Pedro Vicens has continuously worked to create a more comfortable environment for consumers to enjoy their specialty
hot dogs. The old order window, located on the east side of the building, will be placed into retirement, and customers will now be ordering from a counter towards the southern end of Hot Diggity Dogs. In
addition, the walkway leading up to the counter will receive a makeover. Instead of rugged gravel, the
guests will be treated to a smooth walking path.
Outdoor lighting will also be added to create an inviting atmosphere. Once renovations are completed, the hours of operation will be increased. Currently the restaurant is open from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. every day, with differing hours on Sunday. Eventually the hours will be changed from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.
