Fourth-annual FCAL juried photography show

The Flagler County Art League is featuring 85 of the best photographs taken by Flagler County photographers from now through Tuesday, February 9.

The Flagler County Art League is featuring an exhibit of the best photography, digital and photographic art in Flagler County. The exhibit is on display during normal business hours until Tuesday, February 9. Each piece was judged by three professional photographers based on composition, clarity, balance and the overall presentation. The judged display features 85 images broken into 10 different categories. 

"Last Days" by Mary Jean Campanellie won Best in Show. "This is a simple, clean photograph, and the lighting is spectacular. If it had been entered into the Black and White category it would have placed well." -Judges comments
"Love Birds" by Bob Currul placed First of Show. "This photograph is taken at a great angle. I noticed it immediately." -Judges comments.
"Blue and Gold" by Donna Armstrong placed Second of Show. "This photo is nontraditional for architecture. It is a found arrangement of objects. The image has great lighting and composition." -Judges comment
"Sand, Sea and Me" by Mary Jean Campanellie placed Third of Show. "A great moment that creates memories. It has good enhancements without changing the emotion of the image." -Judges comments

"Mobile Oil & Gas" by Thomas Silvey won first place in Architecture.
"Forgotten Flowers" by Vicki Payne won first place in Black and White Photography.
"Lily 2" by Kathleen Warren won first place in Floral Photography. "This photograph is a part of a floral series," said Warren."I transformed the original image to black and white, then painted color back into each petal."
"Sunrise Surfer" by Ted Jurkuta won first place in Landscape/Seascape. "The image has a great effect, is well seen and nice coloration." -Judges comment
"Reflections of Mt. Zion" by Ted Jurkuta won Honorable Mention in Landscape/Seascape
"Old Rides" by Ted Jurkuta won first place for Photographic Art.
"Clyde Butcher Portrait" by Terry Bottom won first place in Portrait.
"The Lonely Lobster" by Cheryl Pannone won first place in Still Life.
