Florida Hospital Memorial Medical Center employees volunteered to support the Salvation Army’s residential treatment facility and transitional housing at 560 Ballough Road, Daytona Beach in June. Staff donated supplies including deodorant, tissues and razors.

 “We had enough donations to fill up 10 large Rubbermaid containers,” said Farzad Nourian administrative director of mission and ministry at the hospital.

Florida Hospital Memorial Medical Center employees painted three bathrooms at the facility. On June 11, the hospital staff provided free health services for women at the facility, including pap smears, screenings for STDs and breast exams on the “Wellness on Wheels” bus.

Therapist/esthetician opens practice

Lisa L. Konietzky, LMT, a massage therapist/esthetician, has opened a private practice at 595 N. Nova Road, Unit 116, Offices at Oak Park, Ormond Beach. She specializes in neuromuscular therapy and facial skin care.  She has worked in the field for more than 15 years.

“My main modalities are neuromuscular therapy, deep tissue, Swedish, touch therapy, sports massage, myofascial release and bamboo balancing. I treat my clients to maintain their pain and discomfort,” she said in a press release. For facial treatments, she has a nonabrasive approach.
