Sex offender suspect arrested

The wanted man had failed to register, police say.

Michael Gene Harton turned himself in to police July 15, according to Ormond Beach Police Department spokesman Keith Walker. He has two active felony arrest warrants for failing to register and failing to properly change the address on his identification, police said. Before his arrest, Harton was last known to be staying in Tomoka State Park, but checked out without reporting. He was rumored to be seeking residence at Bulow Campground in Flagler Beach.
