On Tuesday, May 24, 27 students at Buddy Taylor Middle School were inducted into the National Junior Honor Society during a Candlelighting Ceremony. Inducted students displayed the following pillars of the National Honor Society: Scholarship, Leadership, Character, Citizenship, and Service.

The students inducted were: Emma Argo, Chloe Biss, Madison Brokaw, Alina Bystrova, Keegan Carroll, Nicholas Cirillo, Le’Naya Coates, Christina DiBuono, Carmen Holcy, Eshmal Imran, Riley Jennette, Christopher Joseph, Masen Keltner, Carley Koehler, Sara Kolsan, Pouniu Laupepa, Nakeisha Marcellus, Skyler Maynard, Brendan Nardi, Darsh Patel, Mikaella Penagos, Zoe Salmans, Anniston Schake, Alijah Stevens, Faythe Taugher, Adam Waszkiewicz, and Junior Zemlianksky.

 

Charity Clam Bake


Flomotion is hosting a clam bake for charity on Saturday, June 4, Flagler Beach. The day will start off at the Flagler Beach Pier for a beach cleanup from 9 to 11 a.m. The Charity Clam Bake will begin at 6 p.m. at Break Awayz Restaurant, 819 Ocean Shore Blvd.

The clams are being donated by local fisherman, Billy Anderson. There will be live music by local musicians, Scholars Word and Trevor Barnes. There will also be a live mural painting by Phillip Walker, and a silent auction throughout the event.

Cost is $25, and includes a bowl of clams and craft beer. Proceeds benefit the Flagler County Resource Center and the Family Life Center.
