Troop 2709 is prepared for success

Scout earns rank of Eagle, while his Scout Master, earns top honor.

Andrey Chebotaev, a member of Palm Coast Boy Scout Troop 2709, earned the rank of Eagle, on May 17. His Eagle project involved building and planting the raised wooden garden boxes, for the Bunnell Elementary School garden. Local garden clubs and other scouts also worked on the project.

Andrey is 17 years old, and began his journey to becoming an Eagle Scout, on Aug. 18, 2009. Andrey is a junior at Flalger Palm Coast High School.

Scout Master of the Year

Scout Master Roger Wilsey from Palm Coast Elks Lodge 2709, Boy Scout Troop 270, received Scout Master of the Year, for District Three Rivers, at a ceremony on May 12.

The ceremony was held at Embry Riddle Aeronautical University in Daytona Beach.
