Nik Bitner signed a NLI to Indian River State College to play baseball. He plans to major in mechanical engineering. He is a four-year varsity letterman who set the school record for the lowest ERA with a 0.47. According to online baseball website, Bitner throws an 88-mph fastball.
Gio Aybar and Nysean Giddens will head to ASA College in Miami to continue their education and basketball careers. Both. Both athletes are four-year varsity lettermen, won a district championship and played in the area all-star game in which Aybar won the MVP Award.
Aspen Dillard signed his National Letter of Intent to continue his education and track career at Belmont Abbey College in North Carolina. Dillard plans to major in Pre-law to eventually become a family attorney. He considers his biggest accomplishment to have the opportunity to continue his track career in college.
Flagler softball crowns champions
Flagler softball concluded its inaugural spring season with a final day to hand out trophies, eat pizza and snap team photos. For its three divisions, Kathy Boos Foundation Bandits, the Gator Girls and Team Essie Strong won their championships.
Pak’s Karate promotes its students
Pak’s Karate recently held its quarterly belt testing, in which four students became black belts and many others advanced in their belt colors. Those who were promoted were as follows:
