On June 3, Florida Hospital Flagler Employees volunteered with Access Flagler First, helping to box groceries for local families in need.
Led by Flagler County employee Janet Nickels, and Pastor Charles Silano of Grace Tabernacle
Ministries, Access Flagler First is a monthly event that brings together agencies that serve
residents who qualify for services. It has been referred to as “one-stop shopping” for various social services available to the poor and homeless. The initiative offers food, clothing, haircuts, flu shots, and medical screenings.
Access Flagler First is free and open to the public, from 1 to 4 p.m. the first Friday of each month, at Cattleman's Hall at the Flagler County Fairgrounds.
The Flagler County Education Foundation, founded in 1990, installed their officers for the next year, on June 6. They will serve from July 1, 2016 to June 30, 2017.
The new officers are: President Matthew Maxwell, Craig Flagler Palm Funeral Home; President elect Michael C. Beadle, Palm Coast Fire Department; Treasurer David Taylor, By Appointment Only Realty; and Secretary Catherine Evans Palm Coast & the Beaches Real Estate.
