A development order was issued for a two-story, 24,436-square-foot Florida Power & Light Service Center, that can sustain 225 mph winds, located on the north side of State Road 100 and west of I-95. This will be the first of seven service centers being built in Florida.
The service center will function as a location to pay an FPL bill or set up services. It will also operate as the regional command center and quarters for storm riders –FPL employees who will work during a power outage– while restoring electrical services during times of emergency.
According to Bill Hoover, City of Palm Coast Service Planner, the building is expected to start construction in the next few months and be completed for the 2017 storm season, which starts June 1.
According to Palm Coast’s Business Assistance Center, the following companies were issued tax receipts for June 12-16.

A development order was issued for a 1,975-square-foot linear accelerator addition to Florida Hospital Flagler. The linear accelerator addition will allow for the installation of state-of-the-art equipment.
A development order was issued for Tractor Supply Company, a retail store located within the Shoppes of Palm Coast at Belle Terre Blvd. and State Road 100. The 18,800-square-foot retail site will front on the east side of Belle Terre Blvd., about 300 feet south of State Road 100.
