Anybody home?

9:39 a.m. — 100 Block of John Anderson Drive

Armed Burglary, Possession of Burglary Tools, Possession of Weapon by Convicted Felon. The victim reported that a male was peeking through the sliding glass doors of her sunroom. Previously, he had rung the front door bell but she did not answer.

When contacted, the suspect had two backpacks. He said he was attempting to contact the homeowner because he was looking for work.

In the driveway, the officer found a bicycle and a blanket with the butt of an AK-47 style rifle poking out. When asked about the rifle, he said he was returning it to a friend.

When patted down for officer safety, the suspect was found to be in possession of credit cards belonging to a recent burglary victim.

The backpacks contained gloves, a bandana, binoculars, two butcher knives and ammunition for the rifle. He was found to be a convicted felon. The officer noted that he probably rang the door bell to see if anyone was home.
