UPDATED: Feb. 3, 2016

I woke up this morning to find this message on my Face Book page. Cameron Higgin's mother Ashley and I have kept in touch, via texts and Face Book, almost on a daily basis, since I interview the family. Prayers, good thoughts, or whatever you are comfortable with are appreciated.

“And we're back....re-admitted. I pray it is only for the night, or morning, I should say. Fever spiked at 8 p.m. last night. Arrived at Wolfsons via ambulance at 2 a.m. Spinal Tap is being performed to test CSF fluid,” Ashley Higgins.

Cameron Higgins was life flighted to Wolfson Children's Hospital in Jacksonville on Feb. 5. Here is an update from Cameron's Mom Ashley Higgins:

We made it to Brooks! It was a long day of moving yesterday (Saturday, Feb. 27), but we are finally settled in. Cameron was transported by non emergency ambulance, and I rode with him to keep him at ease. He handled the ride very well. We have a wonderful room that is very roomy, allowing us all to be comfortable while keeping the cam-man company. I have another nice fold out couch to rest my head on at night, but I purchased a memory foam topper to make it more sleep worthy.

Cameron had a busy day today, starting with PT (physical therapy), bright and early at 8:30 a.m., followed by OT (occupational therapy) at 9:30 a.m. He rested for a while after that, then had speech at 1:30 this afternoon. We had quite a few visitors today, which made Cameron very happy. We even got quite a few smiles out of him.

We are now resting again, before getting his first warm shower in over a month by way of a special shower bed.

We are very happy to be here. For anyone who would like to visit, we are at Brooks Rehabilitation, located at 3599 University Blvd South in Jacksonville in room 2211. Visiting hours are between 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Thank you all for all of your continued support! Until next time.
