It's showtime.

The Daytona Playhouse reopened its doors March 13 with its president, Danny Crile, along with sponsors Halifax Health, MainStreet Bank, City Council Commissioner Ruth Trager, fans and supporters gathering to cut the ribbon. Ernie Dyer who came to the Playhouse in 1955, when it was first built, was the honorary ribbon cutter. She is still very active at the theatre.

Thanks to a generous bequest by Barbara Stapleton and a $400,000 ECHO matching grant from Volusia County, the Playhouse completed a renovation to the front of the theatre including new bathrooms, breath taking lobby and much more.
