The annual Flagler Beach Easter Egg Hunt attracted several hundred people to the beach despite the rain. Colorful umbrellas, raincoats and smiles were the dress code of the day.
More than 4,000 eggs were placed on the beach north of the Flagler Pier for three groups of children to “find” on Saturday, March 26th. In less than an hour all of the eggs had been gathered and added to Easter bags, baskets and buckets.
Joseph Pozzuoli, architect and organizer of the beach Easter Egg Hunt for the past four years told the crowd this event had more sponsors this year than in the past. He also told the hunters that the brightly colored eggs not only contained candy, there were prizes in some.
