Book Release Party: “A Night Like This: A Flagler County Anthology”

6-8 p.m. at Europa, 101 Palm Harbor Parkway. The book is about magical coins, mermaids, vengeful lunch ladies and more. It’s a whimsical collection of stories by local writes in Flagler County. 100% of sale proceeds will go to Christmas Come True and 10% of food and drinks will also be contributed. Sons of the American Revolution Meeting

First Church Gospel Café

Full Moon Beach Walk

SATURDAY, MAY 21

Florida Orienteering Festival

9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Florida Agriculture Museum, 7900 Old Kings Road N. Florida Orienteering is co-hosting with the museum. Orienteering is navigating an outdoor course with a map and compass. Suitable for all ages. $2 registration fee. Bring plenty of water and wear suitable clothing for the trails. Rain or shine. Call 446-7630.

Sun, Surf and Safety Event

10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Gamble Rogers State Recreation Area at Flagler Beach, 3100 Oceanshore Blvd. This will be a family oriented event with demonstrations, talks and exhibits. Some demonstrations will be on rip current safety, beach flag warning system, skin care. There will be a Kid’s Zone. Bring a picnic lunch. Regular park admission: $2 per bicycle, $4 vehicle with single occupant, $5 vehicle with up to eight people. Call 517-2086.

Washington Oaks Photo Adventures
