Yummy gummy
10:24 p.m. — 100 Block of East Granada Boulevard
Information. The victim said the suspect gave him candy that he thinks may have contained marijuana. It tasted like marijuana, so he spit it out and made himself vomit.
He said he needed a report for his probation officer the next day, because he didn’t want to get into trouble.
The suspect said she gave the victim a gummy bear she got from a friend, but did not know if it had marijuana. She would not deliberately give anyone something that would get them into trouble, she said.
Asked if she had more gummy bears, she said she ate them all and did not get high.
Vandalism and bad grammar
3:23 p.m. — 300 Block of West Granada Boulevard
Vandalism. The victim said when he left the grocery store he saw a woman writing a note on the top of his car. She said she saw someone key his vehicle.
She said she tried to stop the suspect, and he said, “You didn’t see nothing.”
There were three scratch marks on the rear passenger door. The victim said he needed documentation for the insurance company but declined further investigation.
Opening locked doors?
12:06 p.m. — 700 Block of North Halifax Drive
Car Break. The victim said she found the passenger door on her car ajar, and papers from the glove compartment and console scattered around the seat. The registration paper and other items were missing.
The victim was adamant that she had locked the vehicle. The officer noted in the report that there have been other cases where victims said doors were locked, and there were no signs of forced entry.
A neighbor said that at 2 a.m., a group of teenage males were seen walking around. A burglary had occurred nearby, and a vehicle was stolen. The officer noted the incidents may have been related.
Car pooling suspects
10:09 p.m. — 100 Block of Riverside Drive
Suspicious Incident. A witness showed surveillance video to a police officer that showed a small SUV or station wagon come to a stop in the street. Four males exited the vehicle and walked into two driveways.
Shortly after, something appeared to scare the suspects because they all quickly returned to the vehicle and left the scene. There apparently was a driver who remained in the vehicle.
The witness believed it happened at 3 a.m., based on the video.
