On Saturday, April 16, Palm Coast Elks Lodge #2709 President Vincent Gough presented a check for $2,000 to Blue Knights, President Bill Gallagher and Vice President George Zampella. The donation kicks off the effort to outfit all of the Flagler County K-9 Sheriff's Officers with ballistic protective vests.

Each $1,600 raised will pay for a protective vest that can last five years, according to Gough.

“This Elks National Foundation Gratitude Grant kick starts our partnership with the Blue Knights, to fund this important community project, to properly equip our K-9 officers,” Gough said.
