The National Park Services at Fort Matanzas National Monument is in search of "volunteers in parks," or VIPs, who have a passion for history and an enthusiasm for communicating with visitors from around the world. VIPs help with a wide range of tasks, including acting as deckhands on the park ferry boat, demonstrating 18th-century historic weapons, operating the Visitor Center, keeping our beaches clean, and helping visitors get the most out of their experience. If you enjoy talking to people and would like to get involved with your national parks, call 904-829-6506, ext. 233, or email [email protected].
