Tropical Smoothie Cafe at Island Walk will be opening June 17 for National Flip Flop Day. According to TropicalSmoothie.com, Flip Flop Day is when they celebrate their customers and raise funds to benefit their charity partner, Camp Sunshine. All customers wearing flip flops receive a free Jetty Punch Smoothie from 2 to 7 p.m.

According to a press release from Client Focused Media, Nick Crouch is the owner of nine Tropical Smoothies, with five more under construction, including the one at Island Walk. Crouch hopes to have 25-30 Tropical Smoothie Cafes by 2021.

According to Palm Coast’s Business Assistance Center, the following companies were issued tax receipts May 23-27.

  • Home-based business: D and D Preservation, a landscaping service; Lovey’s Window and Janitorial Services, a janitorial service; CWC Auto Detailing, a detail service; Stockwell Lawn and Landscape LLC, a landscaping service; Real Green Inc., a landscaping service; Flagler County Handyman Service, a handyman service; KAM Cargo Inc., an administrative support service; Frank the Kitchen Expert of Palm Coast, retail sales; Nate’s Grass and Weed Service, a landscaping service.

The following is an update for permit activity in the city for May 19-25. Total number of permits issued: 196. Since January 2009, $910,757,267 construction dollars have been invested in Palm Coast.

Residential Permits Issued

Skyway Homes was issued a $500,000 permit for a single-family residence at 111 Longview Way N.

Del Construction was issued a $367,000 permit for a single-family residence at 25 Seattle Trail.

Maronda Homes was issued a $328,000 permit for a single-family residence at 3 East Place.

Vanacore Construction was issued a $302,000 permit for a single-family residence at 13 Eric Drive.

Everlast Homes was issued a $297,000 permit for a single-family residence at 50 Karat Path.

Seagate Homes was issued a $280,000 permit for a single-family residence at 13 Erhling Lane.

Vanacore Construction was issued a $254,000 permit for single-family residence at 164 Eric Drive.

Seagate Homes was issued a $247,000 permit for a single-family residence at 77 Port Royal Drive.

D.R. Horton was issued a $235,000 permit for a single-family residence at 37 Country Club Harbor Circle.

Vanacore Construction was issued a $230,000 permit for a single-family residence at 119 Laguna Forest Trail.

Adams Homes was issued a $222,000 permit for a single-family residence at 28 Prescott Lane.

Adams Homes was issued a $222,000 permit for a single-family residence at 59 Zaun Trail.

Adams Homes was issued a $216,000 permit for a single-family residence at 53 Riverview Drive.

Seagate Homes was issued a $204,000 permit for a single-family residence at 127 Park Place Circle.

Holiday Builders was issued a $182,000 permit for a single-family residence at 15 Rybark Lane.

Occupancy Permits

Roma Court Academy was issued an occupancy permit for Roma Court Academy LLC, a child care facility at 515 Palm Coast Parkway SW.

Daniel Isaac was issued an occupancy permit for Isaac Realty at 389 Palm Coast Parkway SW.

Antonio Corte-Real was issued an occupancy permit for Twisters Ice Cream Café, an ice cream shop at 9 Palm Harbor Village Way.

Gary Taylor was issued an occupancy permit for Mattress One at 250 Palm Coast Parkway.
