Andrew Gall didn't start growing facial hair until he got out of a job that never let him do it. And once he started, there was no stopping.
"Beards and bowties accidentally became my identity," he chuckled. "Mustaches and facial hair are popular. They generate conversations."
Now Gall is hoping to direct those conversations towards to the topic of men's health for the global MOvember movement, a month-long campaign that raises money and awareness towards men's health. A Kick-Off Party was held Nov. 1 at Frame of Mind in Ormond Beach to get the campaign's momentum going. Ormond Brewing Company provided free beer, Dollface Hair Salon provided all the supplies for guys to get a fresh shave to start the month, and Dustin Stock performed.
Both women and men can join Gall's team by visiting the Facebook page, Ormond Beach MOvember. A 5K will be held at Ormond Brewing Company Nov. 19. Like the Facebook page for more information.
