Ormond beach resident killed in motorcycle accident on Beach Street

The driver of the motorcycle that struck a guardrail on North Beach Street Sunday afternoon has died. 

Christopher Powers, a 26-year-old Ormond Beach resident, was traveling northbound when he hit the outside guardrail on the 2000 block of North Beach Street around 3:30 p.m. Nov. 7. Powers suffered severe injuries and was transported to the hospital via VCSO Air1 helicopter.

At approximately 4 p.m. Nov. 8, Powers succumbed to his injuries and died.
