Rick Staly begins transition, replacing Jim Manfre as Flagler County sheriff

Manfre said he is 'prepared to assist in any way possible.'

Following Rick Staly’s win on Nov. 8 in the Flagler County general election, Sheriff James L. Manfre invited now Sheriff-Elect Staly to tour the Sheriff’s Office facilities and officially begin the transition process. 

“In order to provide Sheriff-Elect Staly with a smooth transition into his new role as sheriff, I have opened the agency up to him and am prepared to assist in any way possible to make sure he has a successful start to his term as sheriff," Manfre said. 

Following his first visit as sheriff-elect, Staly was complimentary of the facilities and staff.

“Today was a great first step, and I am looking forward to talking with all employees as we begin the transition process," Staly said. "I am honored to have been elected and look forward to working with the employees and community to ensure Flagler County has the best law enforcement services possible."
