Special needs Sandcrabs win gold
The Seabreeze Project Unify team won gold medals by going undefeated in the Unified Flag Football Tournament at the Special Olympics Fall Classic this past weekend at Disney’s ESPN Wide World of Sports.

Bucs rout Okeechobe in first round of playoffs
The Mainland Buccaneers (10-) blew out the Okeechobee Brahmans 56-7 in the first round of the playoffs Friday, Nov. 11, at Daytona Municipal Stadium.
Quarterback Denzel Houston wasted no time gettitng the Bucs on the board, connecting with Nathaniel Dell for an 11-yard touchdown pass in less than three minutes. He would throw two others to D'Marcus Adams, one to Jason Colubiale and run another in.
DeAndre McMillan found the end zone from five yards.
Colubiale replaced Houston at quarterback, and he connected with D'Marcus Adams on a touchdown pass. Colubiale then ran in a score to cap off the night.
Mainland will next play Sebastian River in the second round Friday, Nov. 18, at Sebastian River.
Lea Gray, student-athlete of the month
The Ormond Beach Lions Club honored selected Seabreeze Lady Sandcrabs top cross country runner Lea Gray as it’s October Student-Athlete of the Month.
Gray recently placed ninth at the state cross country meet.
She ranks secoond in the 2017 graduating class with a 4.49 GPA. Gray serves as president of the Leo Club. She also serves as Treasurer of SMAC, and is a member of both the Fellowship of Christian Athletes and Seabreeze Against Cancer.
Gray has lettered all four years as a member of the track, cross-country and golf teams. She also lettered three years in Basketball. She has won over twenty awards in the four sports in which she competes.
