Luna lived with three families before she finally found her home.
When the smiley dog was just a puppy, she got lost. An elderly couple found her wandering around, and thanks to her microchip, tracked down her owners. They were upset to learn that they no longer wanted the dog.
"The couple that found her were too old to keep her, and they brought her into Newman to get her checked out," said Mia Templeman, who is the client care coordinator at the veterinary center in Ormond. "I told them I would take her home and see how she did at my house. Well, she never left."
Luna was one of the many dogs who enjoyed their own day of fun at Newman Veterinary Center Nov. 19. Dogs played in the pool, ran the agility course, and enjoyed some quality time with their owners.
