New School Board seated at Nov. 22 meeting

Maria Barbosa and Colleen Conklin were sworn in as Flagler County School Board members at a Nov. 22 meeting.

The Flagler County School board seated new board member Maria Barbosa and recently re-elected board member Colleen Conklin in a Nov. 22 investiture ceremony before the board’s regular meeting. 

Barbosa fills the board’s District 5 seat, succeeding Sue Dickinson, who served since 2000 and did not run for reelection this year.

Conklin has served since 2000 in the District 3 seat. 

After Conklin and Barbosa were sworn in, the board voted to elect Trevor Tucker as its chairman, and Janet McDonald as its vice chairman.
